Debra Gruber Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

PADUCAH, KY, November 6, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debra Gruber, Information Technology Instructor and SkillsUSA School Advisor at Paducah Area Technology Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in IT instruction and student advisement.

A Dell Certified Technician and Cisco Certified Network Associate, Mrs. Gruber has been teaching information technology classes at Paducah Area Technology Center since May 14, 2001. Students praise her instruction style and come away from her classes with a firm foundation of Cisco networking, web page design, Adobe Photoshop software and the ins and outs of wiring and cabling. Her other role, that of School Advisor, calls for her to help students fulfill their goals for professional growth and lend a caring ear.

Mrs. Gruber earned her Bachelor of Science in Career and Technical Education from Murray State University in 2007 and holds A+ certification, which demonstrates an expert knowledge of IT technologies. She was awarded an All-American Scholarship in 1999, was named to the National Dean's List from 1997 to 2001, is affiliated with Mu Alpha Theta and Phi Theta Kappa, and has been recognized by Who's Who Among Students and Who's Who Among American Teachers. She received Outstanding Student Awards from the Kentucky Association for Developmental Educators and Business Technology and Management Information Systems. In 2005 she was named a finalist for KY Tech teacher of the year award. Recently, she was the recipient of the Advisor of the Year Award by SkillsUSA, a partnership of students, teachers and industry that work together to ensure a skilled work force for our country.
