Rochester Orthodontists in Pittsford, NY Award Thirteen College Scholarships to Patients at Get It Straight Orthodontics in 2010
Get It Straight Orthodontics, working in tandem with 11 Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne County Rochester area High Schools, awarded thirteen college scholarships to their patients based on community service within their communities.

PITTSFORD, NY, August 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Orthodontists Dr. Terry Giangreco, Dr. Janis Preston, and Dr. Suzanne Cassata of Get it Straight Orthodontics recently awarded college scholarships to thirteen of their patients in the Rochester NY area who excelled in community service. The 2010 college scholarships were given to local high schools students in the Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne County NY area who were eligible to participate.

The scholarships were awarded through eleven participating Rochester NY area high schools. Students were notified by the guidance departments the scholarships were available and applicants applied directly at their school. Recipients were selected and notified by the individual scholarship committees at each school. To allow every patient the opportunity to apply for a scholarship, any student not attending a participating high school applied directly through the office. The team at Get It Straight Orthodontics selected two winners also based on their service to the community.

"This is a great way to give back to our patients," said Dr. Terry Giangreco. "Many students today, in one form or another, find the time in their busy schedules to donate their efforts to their community. We feel our college scholarship program acknowledges our patients efforts who give of themselves to others."

Get It Straight Orthodontics has offered their scholarship program to patients since 2004. "The size of the program, which originally started with six local high schools, has more than doubled over the years as a way we can help our patient's families offset the rising cost of college expenses, especially with this economy," stated Dr. Janis Preston. "As long as we continue to create beautiful smiles to help build self esteem and confidence in students as they develop and grow, we will continue to offer scholarships to patients who are on the road to building a successful future."
