Teresa J. Martens Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Teresa J. Martens celebrates 11 years in the field of education

YELLVILLE, AR, January 5, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Teresa J. Martens, Teacher for the Baxter County Alternative School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in secondary education.

Licensed to teach social studies, language arts, science and mathematics, Ms. Martens teaches history and language arts and has 11 years of experience in her field. At the Baxter County Alternative School, she is responsible for overseeing aggression replacement training, assisting students with anger issues as well as teaching regular classes. Prior to her current position, Ms. Martens worked for a juvenile detention center where she was awarded the Bob Radar "Line Worker of the Year" Award in 1994. She attributes her success to her inner drive.

A certified mathematics, science, social studies and language arts instructor, Ms. Martens received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In the future, she hopes to obtain her master's degree in history. In 2002-2003, Ms. Martens was recognized in the National Dean's List publication and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa in 2002, and Phi Kappa Phi Outstanding Achievement in 2002.
