Allene Feldman Showcases Professional Brand through Cambridge Who's Who
Allene Feldman is being recognized for excellence in educational publishing
NEW YORK, NY, April 6, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Allene Feldman, Cofounder, Editorial Director of InSource Publishing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in educational publishing.
With 27 years of professional experience, Ms. Feldman serves as the Editorial Director of InSource Publishing. She takes responsibility for editing and writing materials, overseeing project management, and interfacing with publishers and school boards. InSource Publishing provides educational print and digital media materials for kindergarten through 12th-grade students, including reading and English language arts textbooks and learning resources. Prior to helping to establish InSource Publishing, she gained experience in the field by working as a writer, editor, senior supervisor, and project manager at Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Publishers and at Cambridge University Press in New York. She has lectured on the educational publishing industry at several conventions, and at the United States Information Agency in Washington, D.C. In addition, she has written a book, Consumer Skills, and has had poetry published in The Owl.
Ms. Feldman has received her Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts in English, and Master of Arts in Literature. In addition, she has obtained a California Teaching Credential in Secondary English and a New York City Teaching License in Secondary English. A member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, she won the Mary Carny Award in English and achieved second place in the New York Book Show in 2007. She also takes pride in serving as a judge for the New York Festivals and for the Emmy Awards in the category of Children's Television Programming. She pursued her profession because of her desire to work with children and her interest in education, and she attributes her success to her hard work, sense of humor, and passion for remaining current in her career by attending training courses and conferences.
