Scott L. Peters Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Curriculum Design and Implementation

NEW ORLEANS, LA, October 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Scott Peters, Program Manager for the Ochsner Health System's Ochsner Clinical School, University of Queensland, has been recognized as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in curriculum design and implementation.
In recognition of his work, Mr. Peters was recently named a VIP Member by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success. As a program manager for Ochsner Clinical School, Mr. Peters has a variety of responsibilities, which include supervising department clinical coordinators, developing student-related policies and procedures, planning and organizing student rotational placements, managing programs within existing budgets, and liaising with clinical coordinators and university staff in Brisbane, Australia. He also conducts extensive informational research to support the program, and facilitates the preparation and distribution of curriculum materials to physician faculty, administrative coordinators, and students. He attributes his success to his extreme determination. He is an exceptionally organized, ambitious and highly motivated problem-solver and a goal-oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities. He became involved in his profession after working within the retail industry, where he acquired strong customer service skills that have helped him excel in his current position.
Mr. Peters earned a Master of Science in health care management from the University of New Orleans in 2009, having received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Louisiana State University in 1992. In addition to his formal education, he became a certified trainer through UpToDate, Inc., and has gained certification in CPR, medical terminology and Microsoft Publisher. He is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, Alpha Phi Omega and Sigma Pi Fraternity, International.
Ochsner Clinical School is part of Ochsner Health System, a multidimensional integrated health care system of eight hospitals and more than 30 clinics. The school, which is partnered with the University of Queensland School of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia, provides clinical training to medical students, giving them a medical education on two continents.
